Amenities

We would like your feedback on campus amenities.  We welcome any comments but some suggested topics are below.  Add a comment with your response.

  1. What are your thoughts on current on-campus amenities (food, etc.)?
  2. What are your thoughts on nearby amenities (ie. Colfax and Peoria)? Are these convenient?

  1. What amenities? Campus does not work to provide "essential" amenities. They are a low priority for leadership.

  2. There are plenty of amenities. You can essentially live on campus if you want to (some people do during final exams, not to mention medical residents.) There are plenty of families that stay in the hospitals with their sick loved ones for months and get along fine with whats available on campus and surrounding areas. We are nearly an urbanized area with all that we have. I am more comfortable staying on this campus for long periods of time than I was at CU Denver Downtown Campus, especially because of the 24-hour access and 24-hour cafeterias in the hospitals. We have access to rooms with microwaves and refrigerators, sinks, coffee makers, couches, bathrooms, almost all which are currently in excess of student needs (underutilized). There are even gyms and a student center with games, things I've never had the time to use. The only thing we need as employees are longer lunch breaks (longer than 30 min.) to be able to utilize the amenities that we are offered.

  3. The food offerings are scant and unappealing. The only places on campus are overpriced and poor quality. The options off campus are too difficult to get to in a reasonable amount of time, or require driving to get to safely.
